I build and support Python automation and backend systems for enterprise clients. Based in Assam, India (IST, UTC+5:30), looking for remote work.

About

I work mostly in Python on enterprise automation and backend systems, including production support for client deployments. Before that I built search APIs in a microservices setup on Kafka and Elasticsearch. I use Claude Code and other LLM tools day to day, and I review everything they write before it goes into a pull request.

Experience

Senior Software Engineer, Soroco

April 2022 to present
  • Upgraded the automation platform across Python versions (3.8 to 3.10, and 3.9 to 3.12/3.13), adapting code and dependencies to each release.
  • Replaced a custom Selenium SDK wrapper with a lighter plain-Python Selenium wrapper to make web automation easier to maintain.
  • Diagnosed and fixed runner processes stalling on AWS SQS message handling.
  • Migrated CI pipelines and a dashboard between internal environments.
  • Develop and maintain Python automation solutions and software features for enterprise client workflows.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, investigate failures and fix them so client automations keep running.

  • Built and maintained enterprise automation solutions, mainly for web applications and some GUI workflows, using an internal Python automation SDK.
  • Triaged and fixed automation failures caused by upstream UI changes to reduce disruption to client deployments.
